Our Philosophy on Memberships

Working on your wellness and quality of life takes time and effort. A single appointment will not be enough to change a lot in your life. Just like going to the gym one time will not change your body, the same is true with improving your quality of life. In order to create lasting and meaningful change, you need to actively and consistently work on it. As a way to facilitate this consistency and make it as easy as possible for you, we offer a variety of memberships for our services. Each membership option is automatically billed monthly, so you don't have to worry about remembering to pay a bill or invoice. You are free to cancel or freeze your account at any time as long as it's 24 hours prior to your auto-renewal date. Sessions are not rolled over so make sure to use all of your sessions each month!

Step 1: Initial Assessment

During your initial assessment you will get a chance to talk to your therapist about what is bringing you in, establish a relationship with your therapist, and create a plan on how your therapist can help you. At the end of this assessment, you will get to discuss our different membership plans and pick one that best fits your current needs. Initial assessments last 50 minutes and cost $120.

Our Policy on Health Insurance


All of our therapists are in-network providers for Cigna health insurance.

If you would like for us to check your in-network benefits, please email with a copy of the front and back of of your insurance card, as well as your driver's license so that we can verify eligibility and give you information about your co-pay and deductible prior to starting services with Smart Talk.

Our California team is also in network with Kaiser Permanente. YES, KAISER! If you are in CA and want to use your Kaiser benefits, please email us to get instructions on how to use your Kaiser benefits for our services.

Extra Fees

We understand that you sometimes might need us to complete some paperwork for you. We also understand that sometimes you might want us to consult with your doctor about your care. Any additional time spent outside of session on your care will be billed at $50 per 30 minutes and will be charged to your credit card on file. These services are not reimbursed by insurance.
